This year marks a significant milestone for Giorgio Armani, as he celebrates the 20th anniversary of his haute couture brand, Armani Privé. To commemorate this special occasion, the Palazzo Armani opened in Paris, becoming a unique stage for a stunning fashion show. The intricate plasterwork adorning its halls provided the perfect backdrop to highlight the magic of the collection created in honor of this important event.
The collection, titled Lumières, encapsulated everything that is quintessentially Armani — elegance and an eternal love for light. This ethereal and elusive element served as the designer’s inspiration. He created 94 mesmerizing looks, many of which were adorned with multicolored crystals that reflected the light. Among them were 1920s-style dresses, perfect for red carpets and upcoming award ceremonies, as well as suits inspired by the aesthetics of old Hollywood.
For this anniversary collection, the couturier drew inspiration from a rich tapestry of global influences, reflecting his deep appreciation for the diverse beauty of the world: Chinese silks, the soft hues of Polynesian watercolor, intricate Indian embroidery, and the graceful silhouettes of Japan.
