Discover Valentino Haute Couture Perfume Collection

The Italian fashion house has unveiled its latest beauty initiative: the "Anatomy of Dreams" collection, featuring couture perfumes.

Valentino’s haute couture division now offers a bespoke perfume collection designed to complement its refined style. The “Anatomy of Dreams” collection features seven gender-neutral fragrances, each with evocative names in Italian, French, and English. These scents showcase the contrast between classic perfume notes and Italian harmonies.

  • “Sogno in Rosso” combines black pepper with sweet milk foam.
  • “Notto d’Oro” blends almond with oud.
  • “L’innocence de l’Air” fuses rose with green mandarin.
  • “Private Talk” merges hyacinth with cappuccino.
  • “Club Couture” features patchouli and fig.
  • “Punk Romantic” contrasts vanilla with olive tree.
  • “Behind the Seen” combines vetiver with hazelnut.

Described as “a dream crafted by the finest perfumers,” this collection reflects Italian heritage while embracing contemporary sensibilities. Although the project was initiated before Alessandro Michele took over as Valentino’s Creative Director in March, it was developed under the guidance of former Creative Director Pierpaolo Piccioli.

Valentino emphasizes the couture aspect of this collection by offering customers the chance to personalize their fragrances. They can blend scents or add one of two enhancers provided with the collection: “Bianco 1968” with powerful white musk notes, created by Jordi Fernandez, and “Rockstud Noir,” featuring intense sandalwood notes designed by Daniela Andrier. These enhancers can be used alone or layered with other fragrances, offering 23 unique dream combinations from the collection’s 9 formulas.

A standout feature of the collection is the innovative extraction process used for “Private Talk,” developed in collaboration with Spain’s Cosmo International Fragrances. This technique captures the fragrance directly from the natural component (especially the hyacinth scent molecule) without any transformation.

Sustainability is a key focus in the packaging design. The rectangular bottles, produced in France and Italy, are made from 99% glass, including 15% recycled glass.

Initially available exclusively at Valentino boutiques, the “Anatomy of Dreams” collection will later be offered in select stores. Each 100 ml bottle is priced at €325.
